Diego Binetti Fashion Designer Diego Binetti Biography

Diego Binetti has reason to smile; the former design director for Jill Stuart has been getting a good response to his first line from buyers and editors alike. Binetti's love for women's clothes started at home, watching his mother make "dresses and gowns for the ladies to go to galas." He also learned the trade from his uncle, a tailor. Binetti's family later moved to Florida, where he studied at the International Fine Arts College in Miami. In 1995, the designer moved to Milan, and two years later he landed in New York. Born in Argentina, of Italian parents, and based in New York, Binetti brings a wealth of cultural diversity to his designs, as well as expertise (he has worked as a stylist in Milan, and as designer at Jill Stuart and Bulgari). Now an L.A. fashion week regular, Binetti’s designs have been spotted on the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Richie.
